Read the story behind: Fading memories
Fading memories
Back in the nineties
Just like a ship leaving shore
Leaving everything behind
Leaving the keys in the door
Empty rooms
Spaces in spaces
Dying guarantees
Unsure of the core
Empty frames
Doors are closing
The remnants of an amber
Blood turn to fumes
Taken it for granted
Lost and hidden files
Blissful enchanted
Burned down piles
I tried to close my eyes
To gather some pieces
Looked to the skies
Only to see what is gone
Footsteps on footsteps
Shadows and shades
Like torn out pages
In the book of my tales
Please don’t leave me
Don’t leave me just yet
I need you here by my side
It’s not the pain or the strife
It’s not the things you don’t like
It’s me you are leaving behind
Stay, stay, stay
You’re fading, fading away
Just give me one more rush
One last hug, it’s not much
The illusion of love in your touch
I need to carry on, days goes by
but the void in my remembrance is calling the past
Echoes from memories, melted by time
Vanished in cries, at rest with open eyes
Please don’t leave me
Don’t leave me just yet
I need you here by my side
It’s not the pain or the strife
It’s not the things you don’t like
It’s me you are leaving behind
Stay, stay, stay
You’re fading, fading away
Just give me one more rush
One last hug, it’s not much
The illusion of love in your touch
All those happy, loving moments
All those things I did, and cried
They’re mine, they’re mine
Don’t let them fade away in time
I want them ‘cause they’re mine
They’re mine, they’re mine
